for DNA profiling in immigration cases. Agriculture
and Livestock Orchid Cellmark Europe also plays a significant role in delivering real world benefits from differences in genetic make up to agriculture and livestock communities. Having designed, developed and validated an innovative 3 codon PrP genotyping assay, we are now the major supplier of Scrapie genotyping services to the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA’s) National Scrapie Plan. High throughput robotic genotyping facilities enable us to genotype over half a million samples a year helping farners to eradicate this fatal disease from the national sheep flock.
